Case Study: Sustainable Turf Management at Krakow Valley

Krakow Valley Golf & Country Club is covering an area of 160 hectares, was designed by Ronald Fream from California. It is beautifully situated in the south of Poland, near Krakow, between two international airports. Paweł Wójcik is working at Krakow Valley Golf & Country Club since 2001 when the course was constructed. Since 2004 he is the Course Manager. The continental climate and the elevation of the course come with specific challenges in winter.

Watch how Paweł is working with nature to strengthen turf:

He explains: “We have been useing TourTurf® products for three years now ...over the past two seasons, the quality of the greens after winter has improved immensely!”

TourTurf® works with you to develop concepts that will help you to reduce thatch and increase microbial activity in the soil.

Paweł notes: “By improving the root system, especially with Mycorrhiza, we help the roots to grow deeper. The sward becomes dense, strong and healthy.” He says: “I no longer see disease outbreaks in spring.”

In this short video, Paweł shares his insights on navigating the growing challenges brought on by climate change, and how he is making good use of TourTurf’s sustainable solutions and our wetting agents for Greens, Tees, and Fairways to make a difference.

Such a beautiful course to visit with technical adviser Ole Fynsk and Golf & Sport consultant Sebastian Sadź from our polish distributor Miley Grass. Paweł Wójcik and his team are doing a fantastic job!
